Hello everyone, in this video I'm going to show you how to use our website checker tool. So this tool accepts a list of up to 1000 websites and it will download the home page of each website and then also all the pages that are connected to the home page, going one level deep. That includes the contact pages, guest post pages, about us pages, etc. It will then check all of those pages for any of the criteria that you set below. We’ll go through the settings now, talk about some examples, and then show the results of one of the example checks we can do. The first thing to note is that for a website to pass the criteria you set, it has to pass all of the checks you select. The first check will look to see if the URL does or does not contain a certain string—a specific bit of text you enter. This will check all of the pages, including the home page, contact page, about us page, and everything one level deep. Next, we can check if any of the pages one level deep or the home page contains a specific bit of HTML. In this example, I was checking to see if any of the pages had Google Analytics installed. Next, we can check if any of the pages allow blog comments. That’s accurate most of the time, but since we have to parse the HTML, it can be slightly inaccurate occasionally. Next, we can check if the website is running WordPress. Next, we can check if any of the title tags on the pages we crawl contain a certain bit of text, and similarly for the description tag. Finally, we can check the alt tag on all of the images on the pages we crawl to see if they contain or do not contain a certain bit of text. For our example, we're going to check to see if we can find some guest posting pages. We’ve entered a large list of websites and we’re checking the title tags of each page one level deep from the home page to see if they contain the word “guest,” which is a good indication that the page is about guest posting or was created by a guest poster. We’ll start the search now and come back in a few minutes when the pages have been downloaded. A few minutes later, we’ve downloaded over seven and a half thousand webpages. We entered about 400 websites and then downloaded the home pages and all the pages one level deep, which totals roughly seven and a half thousand webpages. Let’s explore the successful finds and have a look at those. In our export, we found several guest posting pages. These pages have the word “guest” in the HTML title, and we’ve correctly identified them as guest posting pages. Hopefully you can see that this is a simple but powerful tool. It allows you to scan one level deep across up to a thousand websites and search for many different criteria. That concludes our demo. As always, thank you for watching.
